Terms And Conditions

These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry instructions are deemed to form part of these Terms and Conditions and by participating, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please retain a copy for your information.

  1. The Promoter: This promotion is operated by Sofidel UK LTD, Briton Ferry Industrial Estate, Neath, SA11 2FP.

  2. Eligibility:The promotion is open to unpaid carer's who attend one of the Carer's UK Roadshows and / or Conference in the UK (England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland), aged 18 or over, excluding employees of the Promoter and its holding companies and subsidiaries and their immediate families; its agents and suppliers and anyone else professionally connected with this promotion.

  3. Promotional Period: Opens 00:00:01 BST on 18th October 2023 and closes 23:59:59 GMT inclusive on 7th April 2024. Any entries received before or after this time will not be included in the promotion.

  4. Internet access and registration required.

  5. No purchase necessary and there is no charge to access or register on the website.

  6. Entry is restricted to one entry per person, (matching email address counts as per person). Entrants can win a maximum of one prize.

  7. Entry Instructions: Participants who identify themselves as an unpaid carer and attend one of the Carer's UK roadshows and / or the Carer's UK Conference in the UK must visit www.carersbreaks.regina.uk.com. They can upload their unpaid carer's story, either in writing or via video, along with their contact details including full name, email address and date of birth. This process can be done once and if the entry is not randomly selected as a winner, the entry will carry over into the next random draw. Maximum file size of videos is 10mb. An unpaid carer is someone who provides unpaid care to a loved one who is older, disabled or seriously ill who could not manage without them.

  8. The dates of the Carer's UK Roadshows are as follows:

  • Sheffield – 5th October 2023
  • Oxford – 15th November 2023
  • Cardiff – 5th December 2023
  • Scotland – February 2024 (date TBC)
  • Carer's UK Conference – March 2024 (date TBC)
  1. Regina Blitz will be working in partnership with Carers UK during this promotional period. Participants can opt in for Carers UK to view their carer's story entry which Carers UK and / Regina Blitz may choose to share for communication purposes during and after the promotional period. Carers UK and Regina Blitz will seek permission from the participant to share their story before doing so by way of a tick box on the entry form. If selected for communication purposes, the participant will be contacted by Carers UK and Regina Blitz to confirm permission.

  2. Entrants who make an entry on someone else's behalf will be disqualified, at the Promoter's discretion.

  3. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of delivery.

  4. Entries (bulk or otherwise) made from trade, syndicates. consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted. If it becomes apparent that a participant is reposting the same content multiple times or using a computer(s) to circumvent this or any other condition by, for example, the use of 'script', 'brute force' or any other automated means, that person's entries will be disqualified, and any prize award will be void.

  5. Winner Selection: 3 winners and 6 reserves will be randomly selected after each of the 4 roadshows has taken place, with the exception of 4 winners and 8 reserves selected after the Carer's UK Conference, from all valid entries received during the Promotional Period within 3 working days from the close of each draw. The draw will be carried out by a randomly verified electronic automated process. Further details of the promotional entry months and the prize draws are as follows:

  1. Winner Notification: The winners will be notified by email via the email address provided on entry within 3 working days of the draw date. The winner will have 7 days to confirm their details (name, email address, postal address, and age) and choose which prize they would like to take from the list of options available, as per clause 18. In the case that they do not respond in time to first contact, reject the prize or are ineligible, the prize will be forfeited and will be awarded to the first reserve winner. The process will repeat with the chosen reserves until an eligible winner is able to claim the prize.

  2. Once the winners have been contacted by the Promoter's appointed prize agency (The NDL Group) and they have successfully confirmed their details and eligibility and chosen their prize within 7 days, the chosen prize must be booked by the prize winner within 12 months from the date they accepted and chose their prize. The date by which the prizes must be taken varies according to the prize, full details will be provided by the Promoter when the prize has been successfully claimed.

  3. It is the responsibility of the participant to check their email account to ensure they are in receipt of their winner notification. The Promoter is not responsible for an entrant making a late claim on their win if this email is missed or not read/or responded to for any reason.

  4. The decision of the Promoter is final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into regarding the selection of winners.

  5. There are 16 respite break prizes available to be won in total during the promotion. The winner will have a choice of one of the following options:

Option 1

Afternoon tea for two people at a choice of UK locations. Includes: -

  2. All prizes will be delivered within 28 working days from the date that NDL receives confirmation of the delivery address from the winner.

Option 2

Relaxing Spa Break. Includes:

  • Overnight accommodation at the winner's choice of spa location (see list of Q hotels, below)
  • Breakfast for two people in the hotel restaurant
  • Full use of the health club and spa facilities
  • 1x 60-minute or 2 x 30-minute spa treatments per person
  • Robe, towel, and slippers provided.
  • Dinner for 2 people in the hotel restaurant

  3. You will be staying in a 4*hotel, sharing a double room with ensuite bathroom on a bed and breakfast basis. If you would prefer a twin room, we will do what we can to secure this for you, but it cannot be guaranteed.
  4. Q Hotel Spa treatments are based on 2 adults each enjoying 1 x 60 -minute spa treatment or 2 x 30-minute treatments. Facilities and treatments vary by location. Appointments are subject to availability at time of booking. Some treatments may not be suitable for people with certain medical conditions and will be substituted for a safe alternative should this be the case.
  5. Q Hotel dinner is provided in the form of a £28.00 per person dinner allowance to be used in the hotel restaurant.
  6. All experiences must be claimed and booked by the prize winner within 12 months from the date of our initial correspondence with them.

Option 3

12 Months Joint National Trust Membership for 2 people. Includes:

  2. Joint National Trust membership applies for two adults living at the same address.

  1. You will receive a £250.00 Molly Maids e-gift card after confirmation of a valid email address to your NDL customer experience adviser.
  2. All prizes will be delivered within 28 working days from the date that NDL receives confirmation of the delivery address from the winner.

4 weeks Hello Fresh meal kit deliveries for your family, includes: -

  • 3 Meals for 4 people every week for 4 weeks

  3. No cash other alternative prize will be provided, except that in the event of circumstances outside of its control the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a similar prize or part of a prize of equal or greater value. The prizes are non-transferable.

  4. If delivery will be delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic and resulting Government restrictions, all winners affected will be contacted by the Promoter and kept updated of any unavoidable changes and revised delivery dates.

  5. The Winner and guest(s) are responsible for all expenses not expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions as being included as part of the prize. All other costs and expenses incurred from the prizes including, but not limited to, additional travel, transfers, excursions, vaccines, accommodation, meals, and drinks as required, spending money, tips and other gratuities are the Winner's and their guest's own.

  6. All images are for illustrative purposes only.

  7. General: The Promoter will make available a list of winners' surnames and county of residence to members of the public or regulators who request such details within 3 months after the closing date of this Promotion.   8. It is the responsibility of the entrant to provide correct, up-to-date details when entering the promotion and acceptance of the prize. The Promoter cannot be held responsible for winners failing to supply accurate information which affects prize acceptance or delivery of their prize.

  9. Your personal details will only be used for the purposes of administering this promotion and for no other purposes unless you have opted in to receiving future marketing mailings from the Promoter and / or Carer's UK. You acknowledge that the Promoter may pass such information to its third-party agency, solely for the purposes of administering the promotion. All data will be used in accordance with current Data Protection legislation and the Promoter's Privacy Policy, which is available on the Website https://www.sofidel.com/en/privacy-policy/. You can request access to your personal data, or have any inaccuracies rectified, by sending an email togdpr.holding@sofidel.com. By participating in the Promotion, you agree to the use of your personal data as described in these terms and conditions. All data obtained will be deleted by 15th May 2024.

  10. Carers UK's Privacy Policy: We take your privacy seriously. We will store your story/ video/ audio/ photos securely in our case study files for three years, unless you request otherwise or you agree in writing that we can keep it/ them for longer, and we will not pass your contact details on to any third party without checking with you first.   11. Those who try and circumvent the entry process and/or entry instructions by any method, will be disqualified and any prize award will be void.

  12. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person's negligence) in connection with this promotion or accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law. This does not affect the consumer's statutory rights.

  13. Except as otherwise required by applicable law, the Promoter accepts no responsibility or liability for lost, late, damaged, corrupted, or misdirected entries or claims and the Promoter is not responsible for any late, incomplete, or misdirected delivery of communications (email or otherwise), except in the event of wilful intent on the part of the Promoter or its agents.

  14. In the event of circumstances outside the reasonable control of the Promoter, or otherwise where fraud, abuse, and/or an error (human or computer) affects or could affect the proper operation of this promotion or the awarding of prize, and only where circumstances make this unavoidable, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the promotion or these Terms and Conditions , at any stage, but will always endeavour to minimize the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment.

  15. The Promoter has no control over internet or communication networks and is not liable for any problems associated with them due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. The Promoter will not be held liable to any individual for any fraud committed by any third party nor for any event beyond its control including, but not limited to, user error and any network, computer, hardware, or software failures of any kind which may restrict, delay, or prevent a participant's entry to the promotion.

  16. The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries and the winners including, but not limited to, asking for proof of address and ID (passport or driving licence) and to refuse to award a prize or withdraw prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation in the promotion and disqualify the participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions, the spirit of the promotion, or any instructions forming part of this promotions entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating in the promotion or won using fraudulent means.

  17. Participants warrant that the materials contain no copyright materials, are their original works, have not been copied, in whole or in part, from any third party and they have full authority to grant these rights. Participants also warrant that any person featured has given their express permission and/or any child (under 16 years) has parental or guardian consent.

  18. If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid, or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.

  19. Any question concerning the legal interpretation of the rules will be based on English law and the Courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction unless you live in another part of the UK, in which case your local courts will have jurisdiction.
